GIRL "YEAH RIGHT" VIDEO REVIEW

OK here's the deal, get this video it's an instant classic. Of course it's no secret that I'm big Girl fan so I'll provide some evidence.

The film opens with a very fitting tribute to the late Keenan Milton, with footage of him being a young skate rat in NYC skating with his buddies on the weekend like you and I do every weekend. Even if you never met the guy, you won't be able to feel his passing after this segment beautiful work. You also get to see the amazing footage Keenan was compiling for the video including the sweetest switch flip down a triple set.

An awesome up close slow more flat ground intro starts up the formal part of the vid, before Brandon Biebel holla's his way through what would have to be his last AM video part. Big flicks down stairs followed by tech manual combos in lines are the norm here, sick. Big Brian Anderson ease's his way through some big rails and some of the crispest flicks in the game, but ease up on the varial flips please!
After an awesome intro skit Marc Johnson whips out a debatable "best part of the video" performance, weather laying down tre manual tre out or simply carving a bank in a line MJ is a pleasure to watch.

This leads us to a Chocolate montage with Chico showing he's still skating strong with a surprising part, whilst Kenny Anderson, Mulder and Scott Johnson leave you wishing for way more. Mike York lays down some never before seen ledge work but needs to skate more than a couple of spots and edit his footage a little more while Daniel Castillo shows he hasn't really learnt any new tricks since Love Child but he can do 'em pretty well. Choc AM's Chris Roberts, Jesus Fernandez and Justin Eldridge are amazing with the world's longest nosegrind, rail kicky K switch and rail kicky front salad being their respective highlights. Would a nollie kick noseslide or a nollie heel noseslide be better on the Clipper ledge? Doesn't matter as Justin does both.

Next up: full Gino Iannucci part, do I have to say any more about that? Amazingly good!

Also in there is a Girl pro montage featuring Jeron, Guy, Tony Ferguson, Rudy Johnson and Rick Howard. Rick and Tony (surprisingly) come through with the hottest footage here, with the disappointment of the vid unquestionably being Guy's solitary trick.

Jerome Rodgers and Paul Rodriguez both have full parts with their ease of tricks and previous video parts being their worst enemy as their standard is so high. Both come through with some amazing stair flicks and ledge combo's to earn their place among the worlds best.

Mike Carroll show's was finesse on the board is all about, my personal favourite part of the video. His rail feeble to back tail is so good, go try it on your skatepark flatbar today. Rick McCrank can rip anything and pretty much does that for the duration of his part, prepare to drop your jaw as he hits up that rail from the Harsh Euro Barge video in a RUN!

Koston closes things out with what Koston does best; raise the bar for every other pro to try and get to. This part is so good and shows why Koston has to be considered the best around street skater in the biz all with that seemingly effortless Koston style. Huge roller coaster rail noseslide, tight runs, backside nollie noseblunt on a rail it's all in there. His last trick... my god! I'll save it for you to not believe either!

At about an hour "Yeah Right" from Girl manages to sum up all that is great in modern street skating while keeping things fun and showing us some new stuff to try. It features some very innovative skits and special effects keeps things moving and fun and the best movie cameo ever.

The drawbacks would be the lack of Guy Mariano and vert footy but in my opinion this could be the best skate video produced since the classic era of Plan-B & Video Days.
